Progress on the AstoriaIf the luxury lifestyle that the Astoria at the Aramore offers homeowners sounds appealing to you, then you need to act quickly and go ahead and purchase your new condo. There are only 50 more opportunities remaining at this luxury Atlanta condo development. As the building gets closer and closer to completion (as you can see in the updated photo), it only makes sense that these remaining condos will go quickly. The Astoria has so much to offer homeowners: an exceptional location in the “living room” of Atlanta, a high level of luxury, unique floorplans with beautiful views of Atlanta, fantastic amenities and more. One important feature that the Astoria at the Aramore offers homeowners is creative freedom - such a luxury is not commonly found in condo developments. Astoria homeowners can personalize their luxury condo with fine finishes and luxurious features to match their personal style. Considering these awards honor and recognize exceptional examples of development in Atlanta real estate, it makes perfect sense for Kairos to get involved - as Kairos is the developer of exceptional communities throughout metro Atlanta. In addition to the Development of Excellence Award, ULI Atlanta, the host of the event, also awards deserving companies and projects the Frank Carter Community Achievement Award, the Dan Sweat Community Leadership Award and the Sustainable Development Award. Atlanta Magazine’s “Restaurant of the Year” Next to Astoria

Monday, July 21st, 2008

imagesthumbnail.jpgAlthough the Buckhead location of the Astoria at Aramore has always been a top selling point, now that the neighboring restaurant Holeman and Finch Public House was voted “Restaurant of the Year” by Atlanta Magazine, condos and penthouses are sure to go even quicker. The restaurant is owned by Chef Linton Hopkin’s and is a great mix of unique dishes and a trendy, urban bar atmosphere. Focusing on a different type of Southern cuisine, this more upscale menu is definitely different in offering home made salami, pork belly and sugar doughnuts, but also has a few classic seafood and vegetable meals for the more traditional customer. The hand made and creative cocktails are a great experience and will not be found anywhere else in Atlanta. The Astoria is a perfect extension of Holeman and Finch’s creativity. Buyers have the creative freedom to customize their home by picking from an array of high end finishes to reflect their personal style. Options can turn the same condo from a modern, sleek urban “loft” feel, to a more tradition Southern home. The Astoria at the Aramore is near completion, and owner’s are now closer than ever to the best dining Atlanta has to offer.

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Ann Schmitz is a mother of three battling acute lymphocytic leukemia, and this weekend the Vinings community is getting together to hand out support to Ann and her family. The event will aim at providing financial and emotional support, and will also help to further education about the disease. Acute lymphocytic leukemia is a type of blood cancer, and experts estimate that 5,430 people will be diagnosed this year alone. Love Street, a local Vinings gift shop, will donate 25% of their “Life is Good” merchandise profits from this weekend. In addition, the local Step It Up Fitness will also donate 25% of the profits they receive from their July 21- August 15 boot camp class. It is fundraising events like these that get the entire community involved and really make Vinings a special place. The people and business owners in this community make it a point to get involved and educate themselves about issues that affect everyday people and everyday families. So come out this weekend from Friday, July 18 at 10:00 am until Sunday, July 20 at 5:00 pm and support Ann and her family through the Ann Schmitz Fund while enjoying all that the Vinings area has to offer.

Amy Johnson Reaches Out to Kids in the Community

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

kairos-amy-johnson.jpgMost people don’t go throughout their day thinking about the overburdened social welfare system and the tons of kids that slip through the cracks and face very dangerous situations at home. But the Finance & Technology Director for Kairos, Amy Johnson, decided to be a friend and advocate for these children by volunteering as a CASA in Rockdale County. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate, and describes an ordinary citizen who is trained and then appointed by a judge to be the voice of one of these children. Amy Johnson and others like her typically only take on one case at a time, and commit to finding their child a safe and permanent home. Everyone from Karios would like to congratulate Amy, and thank her for doing something great for the children in Rockdale. If you would like to follow in Amy’s footsteps and become an advocate for a child in your community, check out the CASA national website.
