Amazing New Year’s Eve Parties in Atlanta
For the new residents at the Astoria at the Aramore that may not be familiar with the New Year’s Eve parties in Atlanta, you have quite a few options available to you. Being in Buckhead is prime location for New Year’s Eve in Atlanta as that is the central location for all of the evening’s biggest celebrations.
- The Peach Drop: the signature celebration in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve. Located at Underground Atlanta, you can watch the peach slowly drop as the seconds get closer and closer to 2009. Once the clock strikes midnight and 2009 officially begins, fireworks and confetti will light up the sky. This year, Julianne Hough will be performing live at the Peach Drop. You may recognize her from Dancing with the Stars, but she has successfully become a rising country music star in the past year.
- Jezolution: This is Jezebel Magazine’s signature New Year’s Eve party at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. The evening is al-inclusive with dinner, dancing, open bars, entertainment and champagne. You’ll enjoy the countdown to midnight with Champagne in hand, and also get to participate in a balloon drop with many available prizes. Dinner is served from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and then late night breakfast service starts at 12:30 a.m. So, come early, stay late and bring in 2009 with style.
- Countdown Atlanta: A tremendous new celebration at the Woodruff Arts Center. The party begins at 9:00 p.m. and includes live performers, an amazing light show, early hors de’oeuvres, balloon drop and champagne toast. 95.5 The Beat is be airing the celebration live on the air.
