Take a Tour of the Historic Swan House
Thanks to the Atlanta History Center, you can take a tour of three historic homes including the Swan House. The mansion, designed by famed Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze, is one of the most recognized landmarks in Atlanta and provides a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Edward H. Inman Family who lived there from 1928 – 1965. Today the clasically styled mansion is open for audio and guided tours seven days a week. Visitors have the opportunity to explore many of the beautifully restored rooms including the foyer, breakfast room and hall, library, living room, dining room, kitchen, butler’s pantry, Mrs. Inman’s bedroom and bathroom, grandchildren’s bedroom, guest bedroom and Mr. Inman’s bedroom. In addition to a tour of the interiors, also take a stroll around the grounds and teake in the many breathtaking views complete with gardens and fountains.
The Atlanta History Center is just another great Atlanta attraction conveniently located to The Astoria at The Aramore. In addition to the Atlanta History Center, residents of The Astoria enjoy close proximity to The Fox, High Museum of Art, Woodruff Arts Center, Piedmont Park, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and more.
