The Atlanta Opera Presents The Flying Dutchman

Celebrate Earth Day at Pizza Fusion

  • First 50 people to walk, run, bike, take MARTA or drive a hybrid car get a free personal organic cheese pizza and Honest Tea.
  • First 50 children get a free personal organic cheese pizza and Honest Kids beverage.
  • First 50 customers to order a specialty pizza receive a free reusable tote.

73rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park

dogwoodIt’s that time of year again! Spring is here and that means that it is time for the annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park this weekend April 17-19. Dogwoods will be in full bloom and more than 250 artists will be exhibiting art in 12 categories such as painting, clay, glass, wood and mixed media. In addition to the art market, several sponsor booths will be located throughout the Festival featuring live radio remotes, great prizes, interactive game and much more. Children will also enjoy the Dogwood Festival with a Kids Village that includes inflatables, arts and crafts, face painting and a 24-foot rock climbing wall. Music will fill the air with a wide array of diverse musical offerings. Attendees also enjoy a variety of food options including funnel cakes, gyros, crab cakes, onion rings, kettle corn and so much more. Register for the Jonquil City Jog

Jonquil FlowersGet outdoors and enjoy the fresh spring air by participating in the Jonquil City Jog on Saturday, April 25. Runners of all ages will find a race to participate in with a 5K, Fun Run and Tot Trot available. Registration for each race is $15 for children 12 and under, $20 for adults ($25 on day of race) and FREE for the Tot Trot. On the actual day of the race, registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:00 a.m. at Smyrna City Hall with the 5K beginning at 8:00 a.m., the Fun Run beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the Tot Trot beginning at 9:15 a.m. All first place winners will receive a Key Lime Pie and awards will be presented to the overall and masters male and female winners, as well as the top three finishers in 15 age groups from eight and under to 70 and over. All participants in the Fun Run will receive a commemorative ribbon for participating. Proceeds benefit the Campbell High School Foundation, Inc. – a non-profit organization that provides financial and community support to Campbell High School students.
