Are You Running the Peachtree?

You probably won’t love it when you’re finished, but just imagine all the bragging rights you will get for running 6.2 miles alongside some of Atlanta’s most talents athletes?

Sponsored by The Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Peachtree Road Race is an annual race that may be the largest 10 kilometer race in the world. The race will be held on July 4, 2009 and will begin at 7:30 am.

The AJC will cover all aspects of the race and also offers a monthly newsletter with training tips, pre-race recipes and information about the competition. The Peachtree’s facebook page also provides tips and encouragement from other runners.

The Peachtree Road Race 2008Participating in the Peachtree, in some way, is almost a pre-requisite to live in Atlanta. Residents at the Astoria at Aramore are involved all across the board from running in the race to handing out water to cheering on the racers.
