Great recognition must be given to Kairos Development as their community service efforts will be giving thanks to former US soldiers this June 14th by volunteering their office suites in Buggyworks to be used by Veterans Affairs (VA), a government organization aimed at providing care and support for veterans. Stand Down is an all day quarterly event beginning at 7 am that seeks out homeless veterans in order to help the former US soldiers rehabilitate their mental and emotional issues, as well as aids them in finding suitable housing. As more and more soldiers come back from war with health issues, VA’s programs are becoming of the utmost importance to repay the veterans for their service to our country. Kairos Development Corporation, developers of the historic Buggyworks office complex in East Point contributed funds toward the design of a gateway in the City of East Point’s historic industrial district along the Cleveland Avenue corridor. The gateway will serve as a visually pleasing entrance into the Cleveland Avenue corridor and will include a gateway sign, enhanced and improved landscaping and improvements to the existing sidewalk. This phase of the project, Phase One, was completed this month.

The gateway project at Cleveland Avenue is a small component of a master plan designed to transform the historic industrial district along the Cleveland Avenue Corridor in East Point into a thriving, prosperous area.
