Last weekend may have been cold and snowy, but this weekend the sun will be shining and highs will be in the 70’s, meaning this is a weekend to spend outdoors. Piedmont Park on any given day has plenty of activities to participate in, making it the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors. This Saturday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., join the Piedmont Park Conservancy and the Atlanta Audubon Society on their monthly bird walk held the first Saturday of each month. The walk is free to the public and allows participants to explore the varied habitats found throughout Piedmont Park. To participate, meet at the Community Center located at 1071 Piedmont Ave., near the 12th Street gate entrance a little before 8:00 a.m. Parking at the Community Center is limited, so save gas and money by carpooling or taking MARTA.
