Martinis and IMAX®

martiniIf you’re looking for a fun activity tonight in Atlanta, but don’t want to spend a lot of money or drive too far, you might want to consider Martinis and IMAX® at Fernbank Museum.

Tonight from 6:30 – 11:00 p.m. nibble on appetizers or enjoy dinner while sipping on one of the many fabulous martinis andl listening to the Nick Long Band. DJ Ric-E-Smith will be mixing in-between sets.

The martinis are as varied and exciting as the exhibits at the museum. You can pair your meal with a Spiked Iced Tea martini or maybe you’ll want to honor the cold and snow outside today with a Frost Bite martini.

Celebrate Earth Day at Pizza Fusion

astoria-pizza-fusion-5In honor of Earth Day next Wednesday, April 22, Pizza Fusion is hosting an Earth Day celebration. From 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pizza Fusion will give away prizes to customers. The prizes are:

  • First 50 people to walk, run, bike, take MARTA or drive a hybrid car get a free personal organic cheese pizza and Honest Tea.
  • First 50 children get a free personal organic cheese pizza and Honest Kids beverage.
  • First 50 customers to order a specialty pizza receive a free reusable tote.

Customers can also register to win a party for 12 at Pizza Fusion as well as meet Captain Planet from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Additional Earth Day specials include $3 select organic beer and $1 Honest Tea. A portion of the celebration’s proceeds will benefit the Captain Planet Foundation. (more…)

The 2008 Christmas House is Open for Tours

atlchristmashouse08.jpgThe Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles 2008 Christmas House is open for tours. All of the proceeds of the annual event, which is now in its 34th year, benefit the Alliance Children’s Theatre. The house is only open until Sunday, December 7th, so you should make plans to view it soon. There is talk that this year’s house is well on its way to becoming the most successful Designer Show House ever. Taking a tour of the Christmas House is a fantastic way to get yourself in the holiday spirit while helping a good cause in the process. The House, designed by Harrison Design Associates and situated on almost 2 acres of very visible and desirable real estate, will feature individually decorated rooms by the area’s “A” list designers to showcase high-style interiors while capturing the essence of the Season.

The house is conveniently located in Buckhead, which is the same neighborhood as all of the new homeowners at the Astoria at the Aramore. (more…)

Kairos Development Celebrates Topping Out of The Astoria at the Aramore

The Astoria is Topped Out!!Kairos Development Corporation commemorated the completion of the fifteenth floor of The Astoria at the Aramore last month at a Topping Out celebration. The Topping Out luncheon was held in the first floor of office space at the Astoria and was attended by partners and development team members and general contractor Batson-Cook Construction staff. Construction on the luxury mid-rise consisting of 71 exclusive condominiums began in early March 2007. The exterior finishes of the building are being completed while installation of the windows and doors begin. With all floors now complete, construction is on schedule for resident move-in by Summer 2008.

Approximately 525 construction workers and countless others have put great effort into keeping this project on schedule. This celebration represents the hard work of the skilled construction workers, development team and partners who are working together to raise this structure. The whole team should be very proud of their achievements.

The Astoria at the Aramore is 180 feet wide and 95 feet deep and rises 195 feet above the ground. Elegant exterior materials such as ArriscraftTM stone will produce a luxurious, stylish feel. Very traditional elements (more…)
