Visit the Peachtree Road Farmers Market
Friday, September 5th, 2008Fresh produce in the midst of Buckhead? Thanks to the Peachtree Road Farmers Market, those living in Buckhead and the surrounding area are able to purchase fresh baked goods as well as fresh grown produce from April to October right in their backyard. And, if you were to purchase a luxury new condo at the Astoria at the Aramore, this would be your backyard, and you would be able to buy products from these local farmers every weekend through the season. Open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the Peachtree Road Farmers Market is an open-air venue where small Southeastern farmers and growers, regional prducers and purveyors of traditional foods and local craftspeople sell their products. If you love farm fresh produce, and what self-respecting Southerner doesn’t, then be sure to check out the Peachtree Road Farmers Market, which is hosted in the parking lot of the Cathedral of St. Phillip at 2744 Peachtree Street.
Regulars of this market know to look for fresh pasta, sauces and cheese from Via Elisa; baked goods from Sweet Auburn Bread Company; locally roasted coffee; and produce from several area farms. Regularly scheduled events feature local chefs demonstrating favorite methods for preparing fresh foods.
