Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Now through June 7 check out Tradin’ Paint at Theatre in the Square in Marietta. Tradin’ Paint is about Darla Frye, a woman whose life is on the skids. She’s an auto parts clerk fraught with low self esteem, thanks to her boyfriend Coty, who only loves her for her fried chicken. Her saving grace is spending time at the Bristol Motor Speedway, where she befriends Lucky Tibbs, a stockcar racing team crew chief, and Dr. Halley Smoot, an out-of-place college professor. With encouragement from her new friends, Darla begins to take control of her own life. Come watch Darla’s journey in this comedy about racing and romance, destiny and dreams. Due to some language this play is recommended for those 14 and older. Performances will be Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, June 3 at 2:30p.m. Ticket prices vary, so check out the theatre website for exact pricing.
Tradin’ Paint is a great opportunity for residents at Avignon at Vinings to enjoy a night out with the family. (more…)
